100 pushups Final Test and Exhaustion Test for 200 situps and 200 squats

Hello everyone and welcome back.

Today I did my final test for 100 pushups and the exhaustion test for 200 situps and 200 squats.

Verdict for pushups: 100 completed. I got the goal done.

Verdict for situps and squats: 70 for each. Two weeks away and I will get my 200 squats and situps completed.


Next week I'll start on Week 5 of both the situps and squats and start a review of other programs.

Week 6, Day 3 for 100 pushups and Week 4 Day 3 for 200 situps and 200 squats

Hello everyone and welcome back.

Today I had my second last day (hopefully) for my 100 pushups program. And Week four days three for both the situps and squats program. I took it easy today in the workout as my final test and exhaustion test will be coming up on Tuesday and I want to be well rested as I go for 100 pushups.

For pushups today I did 61, For situps I did 110 and squats I did 54.

Week 6 Day 2 of 100 pushups

Hello everyone and welcome back.

Today was week 6 and Day 2 of my 100 pushups program and week 4, day 2 of my 200 situps and squats program.

My goal for the pushups program was 75 pushups. For situps it was 140 and for squats it was 127.

Verdict for pushups: 75 Goal accomplished.

Verdict for situps: 140 Goal Accomplished.

Verdict for squats: 127. Goal accomplsihed.

On Sunday it will be my last day for the pushups program and next week I will be doing the final test for it as well as the mid program exhaustion test for situps and squats.

Week 6 of the 100 pushups and Week 4 of the Situps and Squats programs

Hello and welcome back.

Today is Week 6, day 1 of my pushups program and week 4 Day 1 of my situps and squats programs found at www.hundredpushups.com.

My goal for the pushups program for this work out is 72 completed. My goal for the situps program is 125. My goal for the squats program is 112.

Verdict on pushups: 58. Not good. Although I did get more than the recommended minimum, I'm not able to get past to where I want. Hopefully though I'll get to 100 on the final test next week.

Verdict for situps: 125. Goal Accomplished.

Verdict for Squats: 112. Goal accomplished.

Week 5 Day 3 and Week 3 Day 3 of the pushups, squats and situps programs

Hello and welcome back.


Today was Week 5, day 3 of my 100 pushups program and and week 3 day 3 of my 200 situps and squats program.

My goal for the pushups program was to get to 65, my goal for situps was to get to 117 and my goal for squats was to get to 104.

Verdict for pushups: 53 good form pushups completed. One thing to remember in fitness and everything is safety first. During the pushups program I start getting headaches and I have to stop. Might be the heat, or humidity but I'm still getting more than the recommended minimum and safety first. After all you can't train if you're injured.

Verdict for situps: 117 completed. Goal accomplished.

Verdict for Squats: 104. goal accomplished.

Week 5, Day of 100 pushups, Week 3 Day 2 of Sit ups and Squats

Hello Everyone and welcome back.

Today is Week 5 and Week 3 Day 2 of my 100 pushups and 200 squats and situps programs

My goal this week for the push ups program is 59 push ups or 30% more than the recommended minimum of the last set. My goal for sit ups is 99. My goal for the squats program is 88.

Verdict for pushups: 59 pushups completed. Goal has been accomplished.

Verdict for situps: 99 situps completed. Goal Accomplished.

Verdict for squats: 88 squats completed. Goal accomplished.

Week 5 of the Pushups and Week 3 of the situps and squats programs

Hello and Welcome back to my blog.

The time is really flying by on this program. Two more weeks and I'll be going for 100 pushups. Four weeks after that I'll be going for 200 squats and situps.

This workout my goal was to get to 56 push ups on the final set. For sit ups it was to get to 78 sit ups. For squats my goal was 70.

Verdict for pushups: 47. Didn't quite make it. But still seven more than the recommended minimum. I'm getting closer to reaching the goal each workout. So by the time the final test is done I'm sure I'll be able to do 100 in one set.

Verdict for situps: 78. Goal Accomplished.

Verdict for Squats: 70. Goal accomplished.

I am going to lower the goal for pushups as it has obviously been an unattainable goal. Instead of 40% more than the recommended minimum I'll go for 30% and see what happens.

Exhaustion Test Day

Hello Everyone and welcome back.

Today I performed my exhaustion test for the pushups, situps and squats program. One day late I know but I figured the extra day of rest would do me good.

Verdict for Pushups: 50 straight good form pushups. Half way there to being able to do 100 with two weeks to go in the program.

Verdict for Situps: 50 straight good form situps. One quarter of the way there with four weeks left in this program,

Verdict for Squats: 60 straight good form squats. Only 140 more to go with four weeks in the program.

This week I will be performing the program on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

By the way for those of you wondering I will be doing reviews of other programs as well in the future along with ones I've done in the past. These programs are very good, highly recommended.

Week 4 of 100 pushups, Week 2 of 200 situps and 200 squats

Hello everyone and welcome back

Today is Week 4m Day 3 of my 100 pushups program and Week 2, Day 3 of my 200 situps and squats program.

Today my goal for the pushups program is to get to 56 on the final set. My goal for the situps routine is 78 for the final set. My goal for the squats program is 70.

Verdict for pushups: Got to 46. Didn't quite make it but still doing more than the recommended minimum. But Monday I will make the goal.

Verdict for situps: 78. Got my goal.

Verdict for squats: 70. Got my goal

I also found out I did the wrong workout for situps. I did column 3 where I was supposed to do column 2.

Week 4 and Week 2

Hello everybody and welcome back to my fitness blog.

Today is Week 4, day 2 of the pushups program.

My goal for the final set is 50 pushups or 40% more than the recommended minimum for the last set of 32.

Verdict: I got to 41 before I did a slight pause. So this workout I did not make my pushups goal. Although I could have made my goal if I continued to push, my feeling on it is that would not be totally truthful since I had a slight pause before starting.

My goal for the situps work out was 2.6 times the recommended minimum for the last set of 20. So my goal is 52.

Verdict: go to 52, Goal Achieved.

My goal for the squats program was also 2.6 times the recommended minimum of 23, goal is 60.

Verdict: 60. Goal achieved.

Next workout I'll push through when I have a pause, kind of like busting through obstacles in life.

Week four Day 1 of 100 Pushups, Week 2 of situps and squats

Hello everyone and welcome back.

Today is week 4 day one of my 100 pushups program and Week 2 day one of my situps and squats program.


My goal today for pushups is 40% more for the last set (minimum 32) or 45. If I don't make it this week 40% more while ambitious was not attainable.

Verdict: Got to 45. I achieved my goal.

My Goal today for the situps program is 2.6 times for the last set minimum of 17, so I'm shooting for 37

Verdict: Got to 37. I achieved my goal.

My Goal today for the squats program is also 2.6 times the last set minimum of 20, so I'm shooting for 52.

Verdict: Got to 52. I achieved my goal.

Unfortunately somehow I miscalculated what 2.6 times 17 was, the real answer was 44, so I did not achieve my goal.

For next workout learn proper math and 2.6 times for each of the sit ups and squats program last set and 40% more than the recommended last set on the push ups program.

Day 3 of 100 Pushups, 200 Situps and 200 squats

Today I did my day three of the program.

Verdict on 100 pushups: Got to 34 on my maximum. Their recommendation was at least 28. So I got 21.43% more than the recommended max. Didn't quite reach the goal to get 40% more than the recommended max (which would have been 39).

Verdict for situps: Got to 38 situps. Their recommendation was at least 15. I got slightly more than two and a half times than their recommended max. Goal achieved.

Verdict for squats: Got to 45 squats. Their recommendation was at least 18. Goal achieved.

What to learn from the failure to achieve my pushups goal was it might have been an unattainable goal. But I'll try again for 40% more than the recommendation on the next workout on Monday. And possibly apply that to the sit ups and squats goal as well.

So while I achieved the goal for both situps and squats I was burning up in doing so. But that can sometimes be good. You just have to remember that the guy who invented the saying "No pain, no gain" is dead. Fitness should be fun not painful.

For next week then instead of multiplying the recommendation by 2.5, I'll multiply it by 2.6. Add an additional 10 percentage points as opposed to the over 20.
